THE FIRST BOYCOTT VIGIL IN SUPPORT OF PALESTINE, EAST TURKESTAN, AND SUDAN

The Maraş Boycott Vigil is a civil society movement initiated to combat the normalization of oppression within our country and the decline in boycott awareness. We have come together to be the voice of the innocent in Palestine, East Turkestan, and Sudan, and to raise awareness against brands that support g.enocide.

The Maraş Boycott Vigil was established to show that the good are as present in the public square as the wicked. As the first boycott vigil initiated in Türkiye, it has continued without interruption since September 23, 2025.

HOW DID THE STORY OF THE MARAŞ BOYCOTT VIGIL BEGIN? Our story began on September 12–14, 2025, with a charity bazaar titled "Anonymous Benefactors," organized in collaboration with the Red Crescent (Kızılay). Beyond providing financial aid to Palestine, the goal was to foster awareness against brands supporting oppression. As of September 23, 2025, the vigil commenced in front of Starbucks in Kahramanmaraş. Since October 2025, voluntary "Boycott Awareness Seminars" have been held in local middle schools. These ongoing seminars aim to empower the youth with conscious consumer habits regarding the boycott.
